The Leadership


As CEO, Ethan leads all institutional and marketplace lending relationships and drives the company’s product strategy. Before founding Dealstruck, Ethan ran Internet marketing for lead generation startup Ampush Media, growing annual spend to $15M in less than two years. Prior to Ampush, he worked as a distressed credit analyst at Lehman Brothers, where he started his career. Ethan graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Wharton School.

Prior to founding Dealstruck, Russell worked as a Computer Scientist at the Biodefense Knowledge Center at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he applied his expertise in machine learning and large scale knowledge discovery to problems related to biodefense. Russell has paid his dues working at Google, Apple and a number of other technology companies. At Google, he worked as part of the Machine Translation group and while at Apple he created rich client-side web applications. Russell earned both his M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Over his career, Zalman has been responsible for over $6 billion in financing to small and mid-sized enterprises. He was CEO of Capital Partners, one of the largest factoring companies in the US. Prior to CP, he was President of Shell Capital Commercial Finance, and headed Shell Oil’s global small business and middle market lending ventures. Zalman has also served as President and CEO of International Franchise Capital (IFC) and Principal at First Interstate Bank (subsequently Wells Fargo Bank). Mr. Vitenson’s consulting clients have included Fortune 500 retailers and franchisors, financial institutions, and the U.S. Government.

Prior to joining Dealstruck, Robert Riedl was the COO of a publicly traded specialty finance company, Consumer Portfolio Services, Inc. ("CPS"). Robert joined CPS in 2003 and held a variety of senior positions, including chief investment officer and chief financial officer. Robert started his career as an investment banker for ContiFinancial Services, Jefferies & Company, and PaineWebber. He has also served as a principal at Northwest Capital Appreciation, a middle market private equity firm.

Jim has over 25 years of experience as a CFO in financial services, working for units of Security Pacific, Bank of America, Mitsui Vendor Leasing, Leasing Solutions, Five Point Capital and Capital Partners. Jim has a BBA degree in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago.

Alex is a marketing executive with more than 15 years of progressive leadership achievement and demonstrated success in both B2C and B2B disciplines. Previously Vice President of Marketing at LoanDepot and LendingTree, she is an expert in all facets of Internet and offline customer acquisition marketing including direct marketing, outdoor, print, SEM, display, e-mail marketing, event marketing, and social media, and is an analytical leader with financial acumen, adept at planning, budgeting, forecasting, and benchmarking.

With 15 years of experience as a Web Designer, Developer, Creative Director and UX Strategist, Bill brings together a unique understanding of the true "full stack" of skills needed in the product development process. Bill co-founded digital-telepathy, a leading User Experience Design agency and created applications and strategies for Coldwell Banker, Method, Joi de Vivre, Hard Rock Hotels, and Whirlpool, along with hundreds of startups and small companies over the years. Most recently Bill was head of product for Zui.com (the leading Internet browser and search engine for children) which was acquired by Saban Capital in 2012.

Steve has worked as a commercial credit analyst at California Bank & Trust underwriting loans to middle-market companies and small businesses. Prior to that, Steve spent over four years working at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). He gained extensive experience reviewing and risk grading commercial loans, while working with bank executives to improve credit risk management. Steve began his career as a combat engineer in the USMC where he served six years and fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Steve earned his B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Camille has a wealth of knowledge and experience in commercial lending, starting her career as a commercial real estate paralegal with several law firms in the Washington DC metro area. She has subsequently worked in documentation and compliance roles in the franchise lending space, as well as equipment leasing with Heller Financial and GE Capital. She has expertise in structured collateral lending, and syndicated cash flow lending for business expansions and acquisitions across multiple sectors. Camille has served in the executive-level position of Director of Compliance and has recently taken on the role of managing “Special Assets” workouts, restructures and collections.
